Original Watercolour Painting by Steve Slimm - Moorland Isolation
Landscape expressions of homestead somehow feel welcoming - especially when we love home comforts! This watercolour tells of those open spaces interspersed with dwellings, (Framed size approx 37cm x 45cm).
For the past thirteen years or so I have lived in a small remote cottage such as this one here in the painting. Not much longer now. But even when I leave - there will always be something compelling for me about solitary homes scattered over otherwise bare or bleak landscapes such as this. It's that sense of mystery - who lives there? Or is this just me being nosy?
